Farren Paige Young, 35, of Burgin, went to her heavenly home on Friday, April 8, 2022. She was a precious daughter born to Jennifer Brogle of Harrodsburg, and Ricky Young of Salvisa, on Dec. 30, 1986. In addition to her parents, she will be lovingly remembered by a half sister, Jessi Young; maternal grandmother, Jeanne Ann Brogle; aunts – Jeaneane (David) Ball; Melanie Brogle; Joetta and Jessica Young; Brittany (Chris) Denny; an uncle, Stephen (Karin) Brogle; several cousins – Derek and Justin Ball; Scott, Travis and Kyle Brogle; Bliss Kendrick; Caleb Young; Kaylea and Kennedy Meredith and Christian Denny. She will also be missed by her loyal fur babies, Willie and Rosie. She was predeceased by her brother, Kevin “Trent” Young; maternal grandfather, Jack Brogle; paternal grandparents, J.C. and Charlotte Young; maternal great-grandparents, John and Hertaline Hockersmith and O.W. and Hazel Brogle; paternal great-grandparents, Jesse and Edith Young. Upon graduation from Mercer County High School in 2005, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies Degree from Cincinnati Christian University. Furthering her education, she received a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Master’s Degree in Addiction Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. She was also a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA). She was currently employed at New Vista in Richmond, as a Quick Response Team Leader. With her educational background and empathetic nature, Farren touched and changed many lives professionally and personally before her untimely passing. In addition to her professional efforts, Farren had personal interests in crafting, holiday DIY projects, plants and a profound love for dogs. Selflessness and generosity were two traits that exemplified her personality. Her sense of humor was second to none and she was as compassionate as she was funny. A Christian by faith, she was a member of Southside Christian Church in Harrodsburg. A Celebration of Life will be held 6 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2022, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Bro. Johnny Hockersmith, Luke Robison, Leigh Garrett Lance and Matthew Riley. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m., Friday at Ransdell’s.
