Eleven Titans Named To Kentucky’s All-State Track Team

The Mercer County Titans track and field team celebrated another milestone in an eventful season. Eleven athletes were recognized as part of the All-State Track team for their performance at the outdoor 2A State championship on May 22.
Mercer’s boys’ team finished third overall at the 2A state championship and was one point away from second place. They had a dramatic finish in the final relay race after another team tripped one of the Titans’ runners, resulting in an interference ruling. Mercer was allowed to rerun the race without rest and placed fourth, securing third place in the meet over Taylor County. The girls’ team tied for sixth overall at state.
