The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is advising motorists of lane closures associated with the next phase of a concrete intersection improvement project at the intersection of U.S. 127 and U.S. 127B here in Mercer County.

Beginning Monday, July 6, at 5 a.m., weather permitting, the two left-turn lanes on southbound U.S. 127 at U.S. 127B (mile point 6.2) will be closed. The project is expected to be completed by Saturday, July 11, weather permitting. Motorists turning onto U.S. 127B will use the existing left through lane.

Motorists should expect delays and use caution while traveling through the work zone. Drivers should watch for signage and personnel in the area.

All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
