Terry Burton

Terry B. Burton, 64, of Lexington, died Friday, May 22, 2026, at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville.

Born Dec. 4, 1961, in Harrodsburg, he was the son of William Alvin Burton of Taylorsville and the late Patsy J. Proctor Burton. 

He was a retired U.S. Navy veteran who served in Operation Enduring Freedom, served as a counselor in the U.S. Navy and served in the Army National Guard.

Survivors, in addition to his father, include: one sister, Jennifer Burton, and one brother, Jerry Burton.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 29, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, with Frank Preston officiating. Burial with military honors was in the Bohon Church Of Christ Cemetery.
