The Harrodsburg Mercer County Tourist Commission held a special-called meeting on Friday, May 29, to review the ordinance given first reading by the Mercer County Fiscal Court and the City of Harrodsburg, and to set an interlocal agreement allowing the tourist commission to take over operations of Anderson Dean Park beginning Oct. 1.
The interlocal agreement still has the city and the county owning the real property and land, both entities would have to be in agreement before the tourist commission could modify the land or upgrade anything over $25,000 and the local governments and the tourist commission can each break the agreement with 30 days notice.
