Loretta S. Peavler

Loretta S. Peavler, 97, widow of Allan Peavler, died Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Danville Centre for Health & Rehabilitation. 

Born Nov. 3, 1928, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Floy Sims Sallee. 

She was a homemaker amd a member of Cornishville Christian Church.

Survivors include: one daughter, Alana Spaulding of Harrodsburg; one granddaughter and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death her step mother, Louise Sallee, one son-in-law, Harrison Spaulding and two brothers, Andrew B. Sallee and Leroy Sallee.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Leonard Price officiating.  Burial will be in Cornishville Christian Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Will Carlton, Kate Carlton, Izzie Carlton, Harrison Carlton, Steve Darland, Steven Darland and Eric Darland.

Visitation 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
