Wanda Baker

Wanda Kay Shewmaker Baker, 72, widow of Jim Baker, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, at the Harrodsburg Health Care Manor. 

Born May 10, 1953, in Mercer County she was the daughter of the late Berthel and Lola Mae Watts Shewmaker. 

She was a housekeeper for many Mercer County families and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. 

Survivors include: her twin sister,  Rhonda Baker of Harrodsburg and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  

She was preceded in death by three sisters,  Elizabeth Shewmaker, Gleda Hume and Jean Lee.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 10, at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services with Bro. Kenny Queener officiating.  Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Doug Robinson, Carl T. Watts, Cruz Smith, Blake Smith, John Rector and Timmy Warner. Honorary pallbearers were nieces and nephews.
