Sandra Powell

Sandra Marie “Sandy” Powell, 72, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.

Born April 25, 1953, she was the daughter of the late David and Christine Hurst McGinnis.

She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church and a retired Ayrshire Electronics employee.

Survivors include: one brother, Jerry (Debbie) McGinnis; two sisters, Brenda (Bob) Silvers of Lancaster and Kathy (Allen) Lewis of Versailles; friends, John and Teresa Brandon; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Amy Mobley; and four brothers, Donnie Daugherty, Cecil Daugherty, Mike McGinnis and Randall McGinnis.

Graveside memorial services are today, Thursday, Dec. 11, at 2 p.m. at the Spring Hill Cemetery with Derek Baker officiating.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Mercer County Humane Society, 165 Eminence Avenue, Harrodsburg, KY 40330.
