Mercer County Titan cross country gathered at the Kentucky Horse Park for their final meet of the 2025 season.

The entire boys team advanced to the state championship following an impressive showing at the Region 5 meet last Saturday, Oct. 25, where they narrowly outpaced Boyle County for third place.

The Lady Titans narrowly failed to qualify as a team, and finished the day only a single point behind Knox Central, though two individuals, Roxanne Bogardus and Seanna Hodge, did qualify for the 5k run at the Horse Park.

More than 260 runners lined up and awaited the starting gun for the 12:30 p.m. start, and Mercer’s Ashton Butler and Brycen Jones did their best to fight to the front of the stampede.
