Calvin Taylor

Calvin Dunn Taylor Jr., 58, husband of Sharon Bugg Taylor, of Harrodsburg, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, at the Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital in Harrodsburg.

Born Oct. 12, 1966, in Mercer County, he was the son of Calvin Dunn and Carolyn Anderson Taylor Sr.

He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church, and was a former Danville Independent, Mercer Middle and Bullitt East High School football coach.

Survivors in addition to his wife and parents include: one son, Jordan (Felicia Crowe) Blair of Harrodsburg; one brother-in-law, David (Stephanie) Bugg of Louisville; five grandchildren; close friend of the family, Don Wendling; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Clarence and Emma Taylor; and maternal grandparents, Eddie and Ruby Anderson.

Funeral services are today, Thursday, Nov. 7, at the Fellowship Baptist Church with Bro. Lynn Releford officiating. Burial is in the Hill Crest Cemetery in Perryville.

Pallbearers are Doug Anderson, Eddie Anderson, Jordan Blair, Dale Sallee, Gene Baker, and Vaughn “Kojack” Jones. Honorary pallbearers are Don Wendling, Hayden Patton, Kristie Foley and Brian Young.

Visitation 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
