Cloyd A. “C.A.” Shelley, 82, husband of Rita C. Shelley, died Thursday, March 24, 2022, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born July 7, 1939, in Indiana, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Violet Wagner Shelley. He was a US Marine, retired from the Lexington Fire Department after 28 years of service,and had a mentorship with the Isaiah House. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include: three sons, Tim Shelley of Lexington, Kevin (Cyndy) Shelley of Berrien Springs, Wis., and Charles (Nicole) Shelley of Connecticut; one daughter, Cindy Chaffin of Richmond; one sister, Darlene (James) Alcorn of Lexington; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
