Danville Overcomes Slow Start to Defeat Bourbon County

The Danville Admirals and Bourbon County Colonels were tied at 43 entering the final quarter Tuesday afternoon, but Spencer McKinney’s basket with 16 seconds left gave Danville a 57-56 win in the Farmers National Bank Clash of the Titans.

Danville trailed 32-29 at halftime, but tied things up as the teams headed into the fourth.

Bourbon County led almost the entire game, until McKinney’s layup. McKinney led the Admirals in scoring with 19 points.

The Colonels were led by Ameryon Blackburn, who had 25 points, including 17 in the first half.

Danville will play in the 5th place game Wednesday afternoon, while Bourbon County will play in the 7th place game.
