Former Mercer Soccer Star Souder Transfers to Kentucky

Many people in Kentucky dream about the chance to become an athlete at the University of Kentucky. One of the best Mercer County soccer players in school history has earned that chance.

Landon Souder, a 2013 Mercer County graduate, recently transferred from the University of Evansville to the University of Kentucky to continue his soccer career.

Souder, a sophomore,  played the past two seasons for the Evansville Aces where he was mostly a defensive player, a role he hopes to continue for the Wildcats.

“At Evansville I normally played defensive center midfielder or center back. I think I will continue playing those spots but I am willing to play anywhere they put me,” said Souder.
