The Mercer County Titans improved to 5-3 on the season Friday night at Taylor County, shutting out the Cardinals in the second half on their way to a 44-7 win.

The Titans’ defense wasted no time proving their dominance, forcing Taylor County’s leading rusher, Brandon Willis, to put the ball on the ground on their second play of the game.
