James Reed

James Edward Reed, 85, of Burgin, widower of Dorothy Harrison Reed, died Saturday, March 31, 2012 at his daughter’s residence. 

Born Oct. 3, 1926 in Stanford, he was the son of the late Oscar and Maggie Adam Reed. He was a member of the Burgin Baptist Church, the Burgin Baptist Adult Men’s Sunday School Class and was  a retired University of Kentucky Agricultural Technician. 

Survivors include two daughters, Maxine Wilson and Darlene Lister, both of Danville; two stepsons, J.W. West of Somerset and Howard West of Burgin, 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
