James Lewis

James Milton Lewis, 89, of Harrodsburg, husband of Myrtle Lyons Lewis died Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at his residence. 

Born Sept. 6, 1922 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Oscar and Thelma Anderson Lewis. He was the owner and operator of Lewis’ Junk Yard, a farmer and a United States Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Douglas Laws Post #52, American Legion and Benton Baptist Church.

 Survivors in addition to his wife include three sons: Richard (Sue) Lewis of Burgin, Robert Leon (Donna) Lewis of Fla. and Jeffery (Diane) Lewis of Harrodsburg, four daughters: Judy Lewis, Gloria Harris, Pamela Stockton and Debra Harmon all of Harrodsburg, one sister: Thelma Votaw of Lexington and one half-sister: Mary Ross of Harrodsburg, sixteen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
