BARRY TAYLOR

Barry Edward Taylor, husband of Luanne Long Taylor, died Monday morning at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

A native of Mercer County, he was the son of the late Bruce Edward Taylor and Jessie Louise Davis Taylor.

He was the owner of Taylor’s Handyman Services and a retired employee of the Federal Medical Center of Lexington.  His work was always done with the upmost integrity and fairness. He was a member of the Cornishville Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting, spoiling his grandbabies and family and doing projects his wife wanted.  Despite his difficult childhood he was determined to provide a life of love and happiness for his family.  The way he loved his family and served his clients showed his love for the Lord.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include: one son,  Jordan (Katie) Taylor of Nicholasville; one daughter, Savannah (Daulton) Peters of Wilmore; one brother; four grandchildren,  Oakley Peters, Addy Taylor, Blakely Taylor and Barrett Peters.

Funeral services are today, Thursday, June 25, at 1 p.m. at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Mark King and Daulton Peters officiating.  A private burial will be held.

Pall bearers are Jason Morgan, Judge Darren Peckler, Garland Christopher, Johnny Dickerson, Daulton Peters, Jordan Taylor, Kevin Hicks and Mark King.
