Mercer’s Noah Nichols Wins Discus Throw At Nationals

Mercer junior Noah Nichols won the discus throw event with a distance of 166-1 at the Adidas Nationals on Thursday, June 18.

The Mercer County Titans track and field team made the trip to Greensboro, North Carolina to compete in the Adidas Track Nationals June 18 to 21.
The four day event consists of over 8,000 athletes across the nation competing at the highest level in every outdoor track and field event. The Titans had 11 qualifying athletes across eight events.
The headliner was junior Noah Nichols, who took first place in the discus throw with a distance of 166-1 which won the event by seven feet. Nichols beat out 119 competitors from around the county. Mercer Head Coach Lynn Flach highlighted Nichols’ leadership this season.
