LUCY SMITH

Lucy Diane Pinkston Smith, 73, widow of Kenneth Smith, died Sunday, June 21, 2026, at the Maplewood Health and Rehabilitation in Lancaster.

Born April 9, 1953, in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Rae Goodlett Pinkston.

She was a retired McKechnie Vehicle Components machine operator.

Survivors include: one son, Robert “Bobby” (Melissa) Kerns of Nicholasville; one daughter, Cindy (Marvin) Walker of Lancaster; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death  by one step daughter, Shaila (Steven) Hibbard; one brother, David Franklin Pinkston; two sisters, Nancy Louise Jordan and Teresa Jean Raider and three grandchildren, James Phillips, Alyssa Hibbard and Kylee Jo Hibbard.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Friday, June 26, at the Spring Hill Cemetery with Johnathan Grizzell officiating.

Pallbearers will be Triston Keith, Marvin Walker, Chase Kerns, Bryson Faught, Patrick Cook, Kayden Steward and Wesley Branson.

Visitation 1 p.m. until 1:40 p.m. Friday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.
