EMILY BRYANT

Emily Catherine Bryant, 72, of Harrodsburg, died Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.

Born Aug. 7, 1953, in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Wilrow Bartleson and Emily Gertrude Bryant.

She was a 1971 graduate of Harrodsburg High School, received her bachelor’s and master’s degree in education from Wilberforce University in Wilberforce, Ohio, taught in the Lorain City School District in Lorain, Ohio and was a member of the St. Peter AME Church. 

Survivors include: one daughter, Mary Kathrine Drummer of Cleveland Heights, Ohio;  one sister, Ruth Ann Bryant of Harrodsburg; one nephew, Christopher (Michele) Bryant of Hutto, Texas; one niece, Ashli (William) Taylor of Lexington and several great nieces, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at later date at the St. Peter AME Church.
