Catherine Olsen

Catherine Olson, 71, widow of Bobby Moore, of Harrodsburg, died Monday, June 15, 2026, at her home.

Born Aug. 10, 1954, in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late Cecil David and Matha Rosetta (Saylor) Byrd.

She was of the Baptist faith and was a former employee at Donnelly and Walmart.

Survivors include: one daughter, Robin Ellis of Harrodsburg; four sisters, Ada Cole of Lexington, Lizzie Farler of Lawrenceburg, Margaret Currens of Nicholasville and Lucy Frith of Lawrenceburg; one brother, David Byrd of Crab Orchard; four grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Curtis Berryman; two brothers, Cecil “Red” Byrd and Johnny Byrd.

Funeral services are today, Thursday, June 18, at 1 p.m. at Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Kent Robinson officiating. Burial is in Keene Cemetery in Nicholasville.

Visitation 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral chapel.
