Terry Parnell

Terry Parnell, 74, of Harrodsburg, husband of Diane Coffman Parnell, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025, at his home.

Born Jan. 11, 1951, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late Albert Edward and Bertha Mae Montgomery Parnell.

He was a retired self-employed concrete contractor.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include: two daughters, Tina (the late Tim) Stratton of Parksville and Melissa (Chris) Parnell Gribbins of Harrodsburg; one son, Charlie Ritchie of Lexington; one brother, Elmer (Carol) Parnell of Cincinnati, Ohio; five sisters, Pat Penwell of Harrison, Indiana, Debbie Cox of Sunrise, Indiana, Theresa Schumann of Moores Hill, Indiana, Darla Miller of Vevay, Indiana, and Annette Parnell of Moores Hill, Indiana; four grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Edward Parnell and Michael Gayle Parnell, and one sister, Linda Lou Phelps.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 10, at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home. Burial was in Hill Crest Cemetery in Perryville.

Pallbearers were Chris Gribbins, Jake Conley, Eric Newby, Charlie Ritchie, Nate Stratton, Terry Lee Ritchie, Jace Ritchie and David Moore. Honorary pallbearers were Scott Sexton, Richard Watts, Ezra Hopper, David Cummins, Lee Comley and Terry’s nephews.
