Wayne Ware

 

Wayne Ware, 81, of Salvisa, husband of Judy (Ammerman) Ware, died Monday, June 8, 2026, at his home.

Born Jan. 3, 1945, in Lexington, he was the son of the late John Dennis Ware and the late Mary Elizabeth (Yoste) Stubbs and step father Cecil B. Stubbs.

He was a member of Southside Christian Church, was a maintenance mechanic at E. W. Brown Power Plant and at Krauth Electric.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include: one daughter, Melissa Ware Smith of Lexington; one son, Christopher Wayne Ware of Harrodsburg; three sisters, Brenda Howard, Kathy Wiglesworth and Vivian Ware; four brothers, Mark Stubbs, Bill Ware, Tony Ware and Greg Ware; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 27, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, with Claudia O’Neil officiating.
