Donald Hill

Donald E. (Don) Hill, 84, husband of Carol Hill, of Harrodsburg, died Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

Born in Peterborough, Ontario, he was the son of the late Irvin and Mabel Hill.

He was a retired minister, was a 1962 Eastern Bible College graduate, founded “Jesus Fellowship,” a youth ministry focused on small group Bible studies in high schools, founded the Lay Leadership International (LLI) and traveled globally conducting seminars and preaching. In 1999, he accepted an invitation to establish the Carpenters Christian Church where he was named elder emeritus after retiring.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include: one son, Kerry Blake (Beth) Hill; one daughter, Kim Hill; one sister, Marilyn (Tom) Burke; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four nieces and two nephews.       

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 20, at the Carpenters Christian Church with Minister Greg Warren, John Kesel, Larry Camic and Jacob Bryant officiating.

Visitation 12:30 p.m. until the hour of service at the church.

Pallbearers will be the elders of the church.
