Simonetta Britton

Simonetta M. Britton, 81, of Harrodsburg, widow of John Matthew Britton, died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.

Born Dec. 22, 1942, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Frank R. and Lucy Elizabeth (Smith) Muncie.

She retired from Trim Masters Inc., was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #309.

Survivors include: two daughters, Tarena M. Ransdell of Harrodsburg and Tellalea K. “Tina” Brown of Harrodsburg; one son, Richard Adams of Nicholasville; two sisters, Sherrie (Johnny) Garner of Crab Orchard and Lena Wilson of Burgin; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Anthony S. Britton’ one brother, Curtis Muncie’ and one sister, Phyllis Jean Cromer.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Jim Gilbert officiating. An Order of the Eastern Star Service was also held. Burial was in the Crab Orchard Cemetery.
