The Col. James Harrod Chapter of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution are hosting a Patriot Grave Marking Service at New Providence Cemetery (490 Providence Road) on Saturday, Oct. 11, at 2 p.m. with the muster at 1 p.m. For more information, email Jim Stinnett at [email protected] or call 859-612-7363 or Facebook @coloneljamesharrodchaptersar.

Both local pumpkin patches are open. Daynabrook Greenhouse and Pumpkin Patch (135 Dunn Lane) is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 6 p.m. The cost is $15 per person age 3 and up, which includes a pumpkin to take home. Concessions, tower zipline, greenhouse plants, and additional pumpkins are available at additional cost. Devine’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch (623 Talmage-Mayo Road) is open Fridays from 6 to 10 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. Admission is free for children two and under, $10 for children aged three to 12, and $12 for everyone 13 years old and up.
