Lucille Hawthorne

Lucille Denny Hawthorne, 96, widow of Ramon Lyons Hawthorne, died Friday, Sept. 29, 2024, at the Richwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in LaGrange.

Born Jan. 5, 1928, in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Henderson Walter and Beulah Hawkins Denny.

She a homemaker and a member of the Burgin Baptist Church.

Survivors include: one daughter, Rhonda (Junie) Welch of Bedford; two grandsons and three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Cecil Denny, Ernest Denny, Pete Denny and H.W. Denny.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home Inc., and Cremation Services with Carl McCray officiating. Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Kevin Sims, Kurt Sims, Junie Welch, Joe Denny, Jason Denny and Gaylon Denny.
