Another busy weekend coming up with Dinner on Main, car shows galore at Mercer County Senior High School and Salvisa and Mother’s Day on Sunday.

While the Ragged Edge Community Theatre’s production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” is not set to debut until June, you can catch a special preview at the Dinner On Main at Olde Town Park (126 South Main Street).on Saturday, May 13, starting at 5 p.m. Proceeds benefit Ragged Edge and the Harrodsburg First Main Street Program. You’ll get a chance to meet the cast of “Cinderella” and enjoy small vignettes from the musical. There will also be a table decorating contest.
Dinner on Main is a picnic style event where patrons bring their own dinners. A cash bar is available and tables and chairs are provided. The event also kicks off Harrodsburg First’s season, with Friday Nights on Main scheduled for Friday, June 9, (rain date June 16); Friday, July 14, (rain date July 21); Friday, Aug. 11, (rain date Aug. 18); and Friday, Sept. 8. Ragged Edge’s production of “Cinderella” debuts Friday, June 2, at 7 p.m. and runs two weeks, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 3 p.m. Admission is $12 and a season ticket is $60. Tickets are still available for some performances but are selling fast. They’re available at raggededgetheatre.org and clicking on the Golden Ticket.
Get your motor running at the MCSHS Band Car Show at Mercer County Senior High School (1124 Moberly Road). Featuring American rods, classics, customs, trucks, muscle cars and bikes plus food trucks. The FFA Greenhouse will also be holding a sale. There is a $20 registration fee for car entries. The car show starts at 9 a.m. For more information, visit mercercountyband.com.
The monthly Salvisa Cruise-In at Old Bridge General Store No. 2 (5101 Dory Drive, Salvisa) also happens on Saturday. In addition to cool cars, there will be food, music and door prizes. The show starts at 5 to 8 p.m.
Sunday, May 14, is Mother’s Day, and several local restaurants are featuring specials on Sunday. Check the listings below for full details.
