Hey Hogtown, no need to get hangry, you’re going to have a lot of opportunities to satisfy your appetite this week. Food Truck Friday kicks off at West Lane Park (345 West Lane) on Friday, April 28, from 6 p.m. to dark. In addition to food trucks like the Scoop, Poppin’ J’s, Dunn Catering, Las Catrinas and Wake and Bake, there will also be vendors, local bands and more.

Hungry Hungry Harrodsburg Spring Shop Local event starts Friday, April 28, and runs until Friday, May 5. Stop by participating local restaurants throughout the week for a chance to win a prize. Each participating location will have a special dish of $10 or less. Get your card filled and drop off at the chamber office by Friday, May 5, at 11 p.m. with a live drawing on Saturday, May 6, at the opening of the Mercer County Farmers Market. The Shop Local Spring event kicks off with a free family movie at the Mercer County Public Library on Friday, April 28, at 7 p.m. Tell ’em Chris P. Bacon sent you.

The Mercer County Senior High School prom returns to downtown Harrodsburg on Saturday, April 29. The big event happens at 8 p.m., but they will be decorating throughout the day.

The 30th Annual Tasting Party at the Harrodsburg Historical Society (220 South Chiles Street) happens Monday, May 1. Fill your plate with your choice of food items for $10, beverage and dessert included. Dine in or carryout are available.
