It’s time to visit with Zuko and Sandy and the gang at Rydell High School when Mercer County Senior High School’s production of “Grease” starts Friday, April 21, at 7 p.m.. Performances will continue on Saturday, April 22, at 2 and 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 23, at 2 p.m. It’s your chance to do the hand jive and sing along to classics like “Summer Nights,” “Greased Lightning” and “Beauty School Dropout.” Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for students and can be purchased at the door or online at gofan.co/app/school/KY2789.
The Harrodsburg Historical Society (220 South Chiles Street) is holding a rummage Sale on Friday, April 21, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The historical society will no be selling clothing, but said vintage items, jewelry and collectibles sell well. Mercer County Public Library will celebrate National Library Week starting Sunday, April 23, with a special one day exhibition for Mercer County artist Jest Bell Armstrong. A reception will be held starting at 3 p.m.
On Monday, Wednesday and Friday, the library will host patron appreciation events from 9 to 11 a.m. with coffee and donuts, lemonade and bottled water. On Wednesday, April 26, they will play the documentary “The Packhorse Librarians of Appalachia” on continuous loop from 9 a.m. to noon. On Thursday April 27, the library will host Common Grounds Coffee and Conversation starting at 9:30 a.m.

Auditions for the annual outdoor production of “James Harrod: The Battle For Kentucky” will be held at the James Harrod Amphitheater at Old Fort Harrod State Park (100 South College Street). on Saturday, April 22, and Sunday, April 23, starting at 2 p.m. The outdoor drama begins a three-week run on July 13.
