Coming up this week: the 127 Yard Sale starts Thursday, Aug. 4: the 195th Whitaker Bank Mercer County Fair And Horse Show continues through Saturday; last week of “James Harrod: The Battle For Kentucky” at Old Fort Harrod State Park; and Noah’s Workshop at the Mercer County Public Library. The 195th Whitaker Bank Mercer County Fair And Horse Show continues with a full slate of events. The International Saddle Seat Equitation World Cup starts Wednesday, July 27, with opening ceremonies scheduled to start at 6:15 p.m., with competition starting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 28, and Friday, July 29, with the closing and medal ceremonies scheduled for 8 p.m. on Friday.

Sarah Forman stars as Ann MacDonald and Eric Forman stars as James Harrod in “James Harrod: The Battle For Kentucky,” at Old Fort Harrod State Park.

Don’t forget, “James Harrod: The Battle for Kentucky” returns for its final week starting 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, at Old Fort Harrod State Park (100 South College Street). Also at the fort this week, magician David Cottrell will wrap up this season of Picnic In The Park on Friday, July 29, starting at noon.

The Aquatic Center at Anderson-Dean Community Park (1501 Louisville Road). Pool is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and on Sundays from 1 to 6 p.m. Admission is $5. Children aged two or younger are free.
