Weekender For June 9–16: Dinner On Main Returns, Founders Day And More

Another big weekend, almost too big to say anything here, but we need to point out that an even busier weekend lies ahead for Mercer County next week, with the PlayThink Festival at at Terrapin Hill Farms which starts Wednesday, June 15, and runs through the weekend; the second annual Heart of Kentucky Juneteenth Celebration at West Lane Park on Friday, June 17, and Saturday, June 18; the premiere of the Ragged Edge Community Theatre‘s production of L. Frank Baum’s “The Wizard of Oz,” which begins a two-week run on Friday, June 17; the Settlement and Raid at Old Fort Harrod State Park on Saturday, June 18; and Sunday, June 19. Oh, and don’t forget, we’re celebrating Harrodsburg’s birthday on Thursday, June 16, at the Diamond Point Welcome Center.
For those of you who can’t wait that long to see the wonderful Wizard of Oz, there will be a special preview at the Dinner On Main on Friday, June 10. The Mercer County Humane Society is also holding a yard sale this weekend and Shakertown has enough scheduled for Saturday night to last you all summer. Let’s get to the listings.
