On Friday, June 11, the final state restrictions relating to the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic will be lifted. Gov. Andy Beshear has announced that the mask mandate and capacity limits for businesses will lift that day. In addition, the governor has announced that senior centers can open and he will no longer give daily COVID-19 briefings.
In other words, it’s as close as we’re going to get to normal, and the folks at the Harrodsburg First Main Street Program have a great way for everyone to celebrate.
Harrodsburg First is holding their second Friday Night on Main on Friday, June 11, from 6 to 10 p.m. at Olde Towne Park on Main Street. In addition to live music from Sticktight, there will be a food truck, Your Main Squeeze Gotchee Hibachi, and at least nine vendors.
But that’s hardly the only way to celebrate the new normal this week in Mercer County. The Harrodsburg-Mercer County Tourist Commission will celebrate Harrodsburg’s founding on Wednesday, June 16, at the Diamond Point Welcome Center. For more information on that and other great events over the next week, take a look at the listings below.
