Emma Corn

Emma Rose Humes Corn, 80, widow of Curtis Velmer Corn, died Monday, Oct. 12, 2020, in Danville.  

Born Jan. 16, 1940, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Stella Robinson Humes.  

She was a member of Mt. Salem Baptist Church and was a retired elementary school teacher having taught Special Education for Twenty-Eight Years at McKinney Elementary School.  

Survivors include: one brother, Osie Humes of Harrodsburg and several nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by: three brothers, Howard Humes, Glenn Humes and her twin brother, Gene Humes and two sisters, Dorothy Robertson and Bonnie Humes.

Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 19, at Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Kevin Pittman officiating.  Burial was in Junction City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Michael Humes, Larry Humes, James Humes, Glenn Ryan and Bob Feezor.
