Dep. Gaddis honored for bravery during October fire

One of Mercer County’s finest is being honored for his bravery.
Dep. Wes Gaddis of the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office was recognized for his heroic actions during the large field fire that broke out on Oct. 3.
The blaze on Chinn Lane, which closed US 68 for almost three hours, has been called one of the worst field fires seen in Mercer County in over three decades.
