The Mercer County Titans football team has found its next head coach in Travis Burns. Coach Burns previously coached the Pulaski County Maroons to a 5A State Championship appearance last season and was 20-8 over his two years with the program.
Burns started his coaching career with the Boyle County Rebels, where he served as the special teams and defensive coordinator and was part of five state championships. Coming off two successful seasons at Pulaski County, Burns chose the Titans for their support from the administration and a history of talented athletes.
