The 198th Family Wealth Group Mercer County Fair and Horse Show continues this week, concluding Saturday, July 26, with the return of wrasslin’ at 7:30 p.m.

USWF Heavyweight Champion Stan Sierra is scheduled to defend his belt on Saturday, July 26, at the Mercer County Fair and Horse Show. (Image submitted).

Saturday starts with entries being removed from Floral Hall from 9 to 11 a.m. The Academy Horse Show at Center Ring and Swine Show at the Livestock Arena start at 9 a.m. The Open Youth Rabbit Show begins at Floral Hall Building at noon. The Goat Show kicks off at Livestock Arena at 1 p.m. The carnival opens at 6 p.m. with Hall of Fame inductions at the Center Ring at 6:30 p.m. Horse Show in the Center Ring start at 6:30 p.m. USWF Wrestling at 7:30 p.m. The carnival closes at midnight.

• Herrington Lake Bass Club Tournament at Pandora Marina (125 Pandora Drive). Qualifier for National Team Bass Association. 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Membership is $10 per person. Regular tournaments are $40 per person or $65 per boat. Includes $10 launch fee. Tournament members may fish with one guest. Guest can only fish one tournament without paying $10 membership fee. • Hand-Tied Turkey Wing Brooms at Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill (3501 Lexington Road). Returning to the folk art tradition of broommaking that originally inspired the Shakers, making hand-tied brooms without special machinery or equipment. The “turkey wing” brooms, made of hemp cord and natural broomcorn, are as decorative as they are useful. 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Cost: $45 for annual passholders, $50 for everyone else. No experience necessary. Workshop involves visual acuity, fine-motor control, and the ability to securely hold and grip materials. Recommended for ages 14 and up.
