John Caruthers
John M. Caruthers, 89, husband of Linda Lee Caruthers, of Westerville, Ohio, formerly from Fort Wayne, Indiana, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025.
Born in 1936 in Lawrenceburg, he was the son of the late Sarah Phillips Hall.
He was a 1955 graduate of Salvisa High School, attended Campbellsville College, was in retail management with F.W. Woolworth and Belmont at Covington Plaza, was a member of the Wildwood Tennis Club, Kiwanis Club and attended the Chapel Church.
Survivors in addition to his wife include: one son, John Scott Caruthers of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Saralee Caruthers of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Katherine Ann (Craig) Rhoades of Dublin, Ohio; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mattie Phillips.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes in Fort Wayne, Indiana. A private burial will be at Lindenwood Cemetery in Fort Wayne.
Visitation 11 a.m. until the hour of service.
