The 13th annual Pioneer Days Festival returns to Old Fort Harrod State Park (100 South College Street) starting Thursday, Aug. 14, running through Sunday, Aug. 17.

The event is free, but ride bracelets are $5. There will also be a wide variety of food at the food court, with local vendors, including Capt. Franks Hotdog Emporium, Dunn’s Bar-B-Q and Catering, Bee’z Street Eats, Your Main Squeeze Treats, the Casa Mobile, Piggin’ Out and Snowie Shaved Ice.

Browse more than 100 vendors with jewelry, cosmetics, candles and home decor, local honey, kayaks, T-shirts, artisan crafts as well as demonstrations and much more.

Epic Play Center (120 South Main Street) will host a Kids Camp for children aged 4 to 12 starting Thursday, Aug. 14, through Saturday, Aug. 16, from 9 a.m. to noon. Activities include art, story and craft, indoor and outdoor games, snacks, tons of pretend play and more. • Herrington Lake Bass Club Tournament at Pandora Marina (125 Pandora Drive). Qualifier for National Team Bass Association. 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Membership is $10 per person. Regular tournaments are $40 per person or $65 per boat. Includes $10 launch fee. Tournament members may fish with one guest. Guest can only fish one tournament without paying $10 membership fee. Five fish limit per boat. Fish six regular tournaments to qualify for fish-off. Participants who fish 10 regular tournaments, fish free in Fish-Off. • Stewardship Saturday at Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill (3501 Lexington Road). Help battle erosion, clear invasive species and protect one of Central Kentucky’s most popular outdoor spaces. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. Volunteers will use hand tools including shovels and loppers, and should wear leather work gloves and sturdy, closed-toe shoes or work boots.
