Joyce Moore

Joyce Ann Moore, 74, wife of Samuel Dwight Moore, of Harrodsburg, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2025, at her home.

Born Dec. 5, 1950, in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Georgie Frances (Bowman) McKitric Sr.

She was a Burgin Independent School graduate, retired from Walmart, was an employee for American Greeting, Keystone Brush and the Dollar Store, was a member of the Loyal Benevolent Lodge and was a member and VBS director of the Little Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include: three daughters, Cynthia (Akim) Kufe of Harrodsburg, Melinda Wofford of Burgin and Veronica Wofford of Harrodsburg; one stepson, Andrew Dunn of Huntsville, Alabama; three sisters, Dr. Eloise (James) McDowell of Oak Park Illinois, Sandra Relford of Lexington and Angela McKitric of Harrodsburg; two brothers, Ralph McKitric Jr. of Lexington and Kevin (Mary) McKitric of Danville; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Aileen Douglas and Teresa Logan.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 1, at Little Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Barry Bowman officiating. Burial was in Robinson Roe Road Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Tony Dunning, Craig McKitric, Davelle Smith, Micah McKitric, Daryl Smith and Fernando McKitric.
