Barbara Voorhies

Barbara Jean Voorhies, 86, widow of Dennis Ray Voorhies, of Harrodsburg, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2024, at her home.

Born May 7, 1938, in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late George and Dorothy Burton.

She was a retired post master for the United States Postal Service and was a Christian.

Survivors include: one daughter, Lisa (Mike) Brown; one son, Mark (Lee) Russell; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Roy Burton, and one sister, Bernice Meyer.

Memorial services will be held 1-4 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.  Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery at a later date.
