The Mercer County Senior High School track team may have been a little soggy from rains this past weekend, but they still managed an overall AA win for the girls team and a third place finish for the boys team at the Clash of the Classes at Bardstown High School.

“I was extremely pleased with the effort our team gave,” said Head Coach Terry Yeast. “It was cold and rainy throughout the meet, but our kids persevered through it. It was a great competition to prepare us for this Saturday’s Heart of the Bluegrass meet.”

Mercer’s JaiMaria Piazza was the high point scorer for the meet. She scored 38 points and set a meet record in the 300 meter hurdles.
