David Lewis Shirley Sr., 72, husband of Rita Stine Shirley, of Mt. Washington, died Wednesday, May 6, 2020, at Baptist Health.

Born Aug. 2, 1947, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Floyd and Willa Elizabeth Shirley.

He was a retired employee of General Electric, worked for Kaufer Construction and was a member of Harrodsburg Baptist Church.
