John Newton

John Hagan “Jack” Newton, 95, widower of Mary Wood Vaughn Newton, died Monday, March 18, 2019, at the Charleston Health Care Center, in Danville.

Born Jan. 20, 1924, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late John Hind and Bettie Hagan Newton.

He was a retired soil conservationist for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, in Harrodsburg.
