Ella Woolums
Ella Louise Brown Woolums, 82, wife of Waddill P. Woolums, died Nov. 25, 2018, at the Willows at Hamburg in Lexington.
Born Dec. 28, 1935, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Jesse James Brown and Georgia Waterfill Brown.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include: three children, Dawn (Randy) Smallwood, and their sons, Ryan and Grant; Dana Smyth (Michael Glass) and daughter, Kristen (Dylan) Olsen and great-granddaughter, Emily Louise; and Dale (Tammi) Woolums, and daughters, Abigail and Jenna Louise; and a sister, Nancy Yeager of Harrodsburg.
Mrs. Woolums was a graduate of Salvisa High School, Campbellsville College and Fugazzi School of Business.
She loved her grandchildren and new great-granddaughter, and enjoyed music and ceramics. She was a member of Anchor Baptist Church. She touched many lives, especially children with her work and ministry through the years.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov., 29, at 11 a.m. at Anchor Baptist Church, 3601 Winthrop Drive in Lexington, with Dr. Carl Peters officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
Visitation 10 a.m. Thursday until the service time at the church.
