First Region Tournament Win Eludes Lady Bulldogs

While the match started off as well as it probably could for the Lady Bulldog’s volleyball team Monday night in the opening round of the 12th Region Tournament against Wayne Count, unfortunately it didn’t end that way.

Burgin opened the match by winning the first game, 25-23. The Lady Bulldogs trailed big midway through the game, 18-11, but won the next eight consecutive points to take a 19-18 lead. Two service errors by the Lady Cardinals, including the last point of the game help Burgin secure the win.
