Michael Woods

Michael Thomas Woods, 65, of Lawrenceburg,  husband of Lou Ketta Goodlett Woods, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2012 at the Veterans’ Affairs Medical Center in Lexington.  

A native of Mercer County, he was the son of the late Merle and Mary Alice Woods.

He retired from the U.S. Army as an E7, and also served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.   He was a retired employee of Lexmark, a farmer in Anderson County and a member of the Anderson Christian Church.  

Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons, Michael Thomas (Brittany) Woods II of Lawrenceburg and Timmy (Tabitha) Woods of Harrodsburg; a daughter, Teresa (Chris) Higginbotham of Harrodsburg; a sister, Pam (Lee) Thompson of Harrodsburg; an aunt, Mary Lee Elliott of Harrodsburg and six grandchildren.
