Ted Nelson Jr.

Ted Nelson Jr., 65, of Harrodsburg, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2012 at The James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital Extended Care Unit.

Born July 26, 1947 in Prestonsburg, he was the son of the late Rev. Ted Nelson Sr. and Helena Warrix Nelson.  He was a retired HVAC Specialist at Shakertown and a member of the Burgin Christian Church Disciples of Christ.

Survivors include his fiancée, Ann Voris of Harrodsburg; five daughters, Elizabeth Pettit of Lebanon, Maine, Melissa (Brian) Samons of Prestonsburg, Monica Nelson, Rachel Christian and Jennifer (Nick) Faust, all of Lexington and one daughter-in-law, Taylor Nelson of Lexington; one brother, Tom (Earlene) Nelson, Prestonsburg; two sisters, Karen (Jimmy) Marcum and Mary McDonald, both of Prestonsburg; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
