Eleanor Otto Royalty

Eleanor Otto Royalty, 75,  wife of William D Royalty died Sunday, July 12, 2026.

Born Jan. 1, 1951, in Arolsen, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Else and Alfred Otto.

She was a Burgin Independent School graduated, earned credits towards an associate’s degree at Campbellsville College and worked over 25 years as intake coordinator for University of Kentucky Psychiatry department.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include: one sister, Liz Otto of Lexington; one son, Alfred (Melissa) Dexter Royalty of Lexington; one brother-in-law, Tony McGuire of Harrodsburg; one sister-in-law, Sandra D (Joey D) Hardin of Burgin; one granddaughter; two nephews; one niece and several cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, E. Thomas Royalty; in-laws Earl Lee and Oneda Royalty and one sister-in-law, Vickie Lynn Royalty.

Funeral services were held Monday July 20, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home in  Lexington. Burial was at Lexington Cemetery Mausoleum in Lexington.
