Give The Gift Of Life And Win A Chance At Taylor Swift Tickets

Donate the gift of life and you might get a chance at one of the rarest things on Earth—at least right now—Taylor Swift tickets. All donors at the Kentucky Blood Center’s upcoming community blood drive on Friday, June 14, will be entered to win a pair of tickets to Taylor Swift’s Nov. 3 concert in Indianapolis, Indiana. Along with two Eras Tour tickets, the lucky winner will get a $500 Visa gift card to help with travel. All donors will receive a Swift-inspired shirt.

The Taylor Swift giveaway comes at an important time of the year for the blood supply. Blood donations historically dwindle during the summer because of warm-weather activities, family vacations and no school, but the need for blood doesn’t “calm down”—and transfusions often increase over the summer months for those very same reasons.

Blood donors must be at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health, show a photo I.D. and meet additional requirements. Sixteen-year-old donors must have a signed parental permission slip, which can be found at kybloodcenter.org. For more information on the giveaway, including full contest rules, visit kybloodcenter.org/taylor-swift-tickets-giveaway.

The Kentucky Blood Center is the largest independent, full-service, nonprofit blood center in Kentucky, and has been saving local lives since 1968. Licensed by the FDA, the blood center’s sole purpose is to collect, process and distribute blood for patients in Kentucky. The Kentucky Blood Center provides services in 90 Kentucky counties and has donor centers in Lexington, Louisville, Frankfort, Pikeville, Somerset and the Tri-County area (Corbin).
